MasterCard SecureCode

     SecureCode is a service that helps protect MasterCard card accounts against unauthorized Internet transactions by using identity information established between and individual cardholder and his or her financial institution. Focus Bank, in conjunction with SHAZAM and Arcot Systems are providing this service to you to improve the security of payment transactions in the electronic commerce environment. Once you activate SecureCode, your card cannot be used at a participating Internet merchant without authentication by an authorized user of your account.

     You will find SecureCode easy to use.. When you enroll in SecureCode and then use your MasterCard card for an Internet purchase at a participating merchant, a window displays requesting your password in much the same way you enter a PIN during a face-to-face transaction. After you enter your password, the information is authenticated and then the transaction is submitted to your financial institution for authorization. New Deluxe Check Packaging

     Starting in late summer, personal checks will be mailed in all-new packaging. To meet changing postal service requirements, the traditional mailing carton is being replaced with a new streamlined package. This new package delivers the quality and security you expect – and inside the package, the easy-to-assemble flat box folds together to store checks.

     Our check supplier Deluxe, worked proactively with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to develop this new package that meets new postal regulations and helps keep mailing costs to a minimum. With the USPS significantly raising rates for three-dimensional bulk mail packages, switching to a flat package is a more cost-effective solution. The stringent new automated bulk mail requirements specify that packages must be:

• Rigid enough to be processed through the postal system’s automated equipment
• Flexible enough to securely fit in a variety of mail receptacles
• No more than 3/4” thick

     The new Deluxe check packaging meets these requirements. “In developing the new packaging, we surveyed hundreds of consumers about what they wanted in a check package, and we’re confident this new package will meet the needs of consumers, financial institutions and the post office,” said Debie Cahall, chief marketing officer for Deluxe Financial Services.

Troubleshooting Tips for Accessing Online Banking

Internet Explorer

a.       From Internet Explorer, select Tools > Internet Options.
b.       From the Security tab, select Trusted Sites.
c.       Click the Sites button.
d.       Type in the domain of your online banking website (i.e. https://web3.secureinternetbank.com).
e.       Click Add > Close.
f.        Select the Privacy Tab, and click on Sites (IE7) or Edit in Web Sites section (IE6).
g.       Type in the domain of your online banking website (i.e. https://web3.secureinternetbank.com).
h.       Click Allow > Ok.
i.         Select the Security Tab, select Internet, select Custom Level.
j.        Scroll down to ActiveX controls and plug-ins > Binary and script behaviors (not present on Windows 2000).
k.       Select Enable.
l.         Scroll down to Scripting > Active Scripting.
m.     Select Enable.
n.       Click OK, Click OK.

*Note: If problems are still occurring with Internet Explorer, open Internet Options and select the Advanced Tab.  Click the Reset. button at the bottom.  This will reset all settings to the default.

Mozilla Firefox

a.       From Firefox, select Tools > Options.
b.       Click Content and make sure both Enable JavaScript and Enable Java are checked.
c.       Click Privacy and click Exceptions. in the Cookies section.
d.       Type in the domain of your online banking website (i.e. https://web3.secureinternetbank.com)
e.       Click Allow and then Close.
f.        In the Private Data section, uncheck Always clear my private data when I close Firefox.
g.       Click Ok.
h.       If none of these things work, please use Internet Explorer as it is the only supported browser.
