Security and protection are vital features when it comes to banking. Recently, we launched a new login security feature that will integrate stronger cybersecurity measures to detect fraud while ensuring account holders have a positive banking experience.
Every time a customer logs in to Online Banking, the new security feature will confirm not only their credentials but also the device they are using. If the system detects a new device or suspicious activity, they may be asked to further verify their identity via a one-time passcode sent to their phone.
Setup is simple. All that is needed is a phone number. When account holders log in to Online Banking through our website or Mobile Banking app, they will be asked to set up a verification phone number and choose their preferred delivery method – text message or phone call – for future identity verification.

How does this new security feature work?

How do account holders set this up?
Setup is simple. When account holders log in to their Online Banking account through our website or Mobile Banking app, they will be asked to set up their verification phone number and choose their preferred delivery method – text message or phone call.
They will then receive a text message or phone call containing a passcode. They will need to enter this passcode during login to complete their phone number verification. Once entered, they will be logged in to Online Banking.
Are account holders required to set this up?
Yes, enrollment in this new security process is required.
Is this replacing the current Security Challenge Questions?
Yes, this new security process will replace the current Security Challenge Questions.
Why the change?
Cybercriminals are constantly developing new methods to steal personal data and are getting more sophisticated with each passing day. We’ve chosen to adapt and evolve to stay one step ahead of those threats.
How will this feature work in the future?
Once set up, this new security feature will only be activated if it detects a login attempt that falls outside of how an account holder typically logs in. When this happens, they will be prompted to enter a passcode during login. The passcode will be sent to the phone number they set up previously using their preferred delivery method. They will need to enter the passcode to complete their login.
Will this affect the Mobile Banking app?
Yes, the same new security setup and process will apply to logging in via our Mobile Banking app.
Can account holders change their verification phone number from the Mobile Banking app once enrolled?
No. They must log in to Online Banking via our website to update their verification phone number. Or, they can call Customer Support at 800-464-3150, and our team will be happy to assist.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost for this additional protection. It is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our account holders and their accounts safe and secure.
